I have tried to use my Canon t4i DSLR this way but it does not work. The 70D might be different. I know there are some devices one could probably purchase to make it work but I see no need as I just use my webcam or record using the Canon t4i when I make a video and then import it into my screen recording project to edit and produce with it. If you find a way or it works please post back your results and how you accomplished it. Have a great day and thanks for posting.

Camtasia 2018 is out, who knows more is possible now. I have a Canon 5D Mark2 that can create 1920x1080@30fps video's and has a USB and a HDMI output and I'd like to use it as a 'webcam', in other words record in Camtasia, not on the camera. I'd like to know the following: • Can USB3 handle this or do I need to use HDMI? • Are there even PCI-cards for desktops that will function as HDMI-in?

• Does the Camtasia software detect the Canon 5D Mark2? Thank you in advance for your input. Regards, Thomas. Thomas as suggested above with the explanation kayakman gave is what I have done with our Cannon t4i DSLR and I have used Sparkocam in the past and the link is above in a post I made earlier. The camera you listed is on the list but I would suggest trying before buying to make sure it would work for what you want or not.

I last used Quicken about a week ago with no issues. Today I opened it the usual way by double clicking on the Owner's Quicken Data.qdf file and get first the box that says Quicken Intuit with the name of one of my banks in the lower right corner, then a blank white screen that fills my entire screen.

It would be nice to see these work in Camtasia but it also has to do with the Manufacturer of the DSLR Camera too as in if it has a webcam mode or not. Just my suggestion and two cents worth. By the way the link I posted above for Sparkocam is the same. Thanks for posting and have a great day/night.

I've searched several hours trying to find a relevant/recent answer but haven't found anything yet. Hopefully, this question gives you enough insight. What I'm trying to do: Create engaging five to 10-minute instructional videos for students struggling with math. This involves both the screen recording of me writing on the 'chalkboard' using a Bamboo tablet as well as me being able to address the audience on a personal level using a high-quality DSLR video. Things I need from a software (that I haven't found an answer to): • Ability to record DSLR video without having to import from another program.

Use nikon dslr for skype macbook

• Ability to record DSLR video and screen recording simultaneously. • Ability to use Bamboo tablet (attaches and works like USB mouse) as input device. • Audio input from external USB mic (Blue Snowball Ice) If I have to record these separately, it takes away from the natural flow of how I present (this needs to feel like I'm face-to-face with my kids). Unnatural breaking it up because of edits ruins this effect, making screen recording counterproductive to my needs.
