When I open this link Erlang which has a video, the video won't play. I am a beginner to Mac and recently reinstalled my macOS. I am a beginner to Mac and recently reinstalled my macOS. I dont know why this video won't play on my Mac, but the same video plays in Firefox. Stranger still, I can't play the ads on the Apple website using Safari, whereas it works fine in Firefox. Likewise, if I try to watch the news on this French website (www.bfmtv.com), I can play the videos in Firefox, but not the live stream (Le Direct) and none work in Safari. Flowp123 Fri, 17 Jul 2015 20:32:00 GMT Hi, I am using flowplayer flash for my site videos. I am using flowplayer-commerical-3.2.18.They work properly in all browsers on windows, but in MAC, it works properly on chrome but in firefox and safari the video is not playing properly. The problem, when you play a video in Firefox on Mac, video will start playing but when you click on player or when you click on pause or try to forward or anything, even right click on player is causing the video to play from first again. Can anyone please help me with this. Christian Ebert Sun, 19 Jul 2015 10:04:46 GMT The video _plays_ here on Mac, both in Firefox 39.0 and Safari 8.0.7. However, there are the expected inconsistencies in the display of current playhead position because of variable frame rate. I'm reasonably certain that these can experienced on other machines as well because Flash cannot deal with variable frame rate, nor can HTML5 video in a consistent fashion.
Also there's a problem with your overlay solution: The player controls are unworkable because a click anywhere on the overlay area reloads the video. Check out this [working alternative](Finally: - do not load Flowplayer HTML5 assets, not even the stylesheets, in conjunction with Flowplayer Flash - do not load Flowplayer Flash assets from releases.flowplayer.org - - but from your own server. Christian Ebert Sun, 19 Jul 2015 18:10:59 GMT It's not a problem with Flowplayer, all works ok if you omit the overlay, like in this [temporary example](I also expect you to get problems in IE at some point because as far as I can see you are either hiding the Flash object or unloading it not properly. If you care to look at the [overlay demo](already referenced, you see that the API is used to load and unload the player when the overlay is opened/closed. You don't use the API at all - why? Christian Ebert Mon, 20 Jul 2015 18:18:30 GMT Here's quick stab at adapting our demo to your video: - no problem. Maybe switching to a [DIV tag for the player container](improves your situation - nesting a DIV inside an anchor is probably not a good idea.

But you would make your life certainly easier by slimming down the sample - temporarily, for debugging - to only Flowplayer related stuff in a transparent fashion.
